Cost of Green Deal accreditation to be waved for two years

The cost of accreditation under the Green Deal is to be waved for two years in a bid to help stimulate the market and encourage more players to join it.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) confirmed today that anyone looking to be a Green Deal assessor, installer or provider will not have to pay any fees for their registration or compliance until the end of 2014. The postponment was unveiled as Energy Minister Greg Barker announced the organisations that would be at the heart of the Government’s plans to ensure consumer protection under its flagship energy efficiency programme.
