The Government have said they want the Green Deal to benefit tenants as well as property owners but the way I see it, seeing as the landlord isn't the one paying the energy bills, or making the savings, what does he/she have to benefit? Depends. My 'patch' includes lots of solid stone walled houses...

I think the GD assessment will be entirely non-independent. The public would like independent assessment but they want someone else to pay for it, not them. Add in the power of TV advertising and I think the overwhelming majority of GD assessments will be by GDA-qualified sales people, so paid for b...
